Welcome to the website for the research group of Dr. Jean-Claude Diels -- a collaboration between the Physics, Optical Science, and Electrical Engineering departments at the University of New Mexico. Our group has several labs that study a broad range of ultrafast optics topics, from intracavity laser phenomena to high power laser beam propagation in the atmosphere (filamentation). We are constantly redefining how to understand and use laser technology.
We are located in the Physics & Astronomy and Interdisciplinary Science building (PAIS) and at the Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM) at the University of New Mexico.
